To Whom It May Concern:
I was very excited to see the review in The Dallas Morning News written about the Lyndale the Literary Lion creator Joseph Jammer. This just confirms what I have known about him for quite sometime now. He is very genuine, compassionate and concerned about the youth of today.
Since I first meet Lyndale (Mr. Jammer) at my local library his spirit in relating his message was very humorous compassionate and real, as well as inviting. Our family enjoyed his stories. I am a single parent who struggles with trying to understand and properly raise two young African American male children; on my own I might add. I had questions for Mr. Jammer seeking help and book suggestions; he did not hesitate to help me. Mr. Jammer took the time to make sure I had several books and literature about my concerns. He takes his crusade very seriously and passionately. I and my children are living proof. I am very grateful for Mr. Jammers help and for all the books he has referred me to.
I know this letter may not seem important to some, but because of Mr. Jammers help and at times wearing the hat of counselor, advisor, friend, parent and concerned member of the community. This person has helped me and my children become closer as we now read together and learn how to understand, face and combat everyday situations facing our youth. All the words in the world cannot describe my gratitude. I thank Mr. Jammer for helping me educate myself.
